Shocking! FTII Vandalized By Unidentified Men Last Night
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Clearly, it's a message for its protesting students
The FTII protest, which is in its 38th day today, seems to have taken a violent turn.
You already know that the students of the premier institute have been on an indefinite strike following the appointment of BJP MP Gajendra Chauhan as the Chairman.
A few days ago, the students were even issued a notice - one that demanded that they stop the strike immediately or face rustication.
That did very little in deterring them.
However, the students were in for a rude shock last night when an unruly mob vandalised the area and damaged the FTII protest symbol (a larger-than-life question mark figurine has been installed outside the main entrance of the institute, which symbolizes that the students are questioning the appointment). Fortunately, the students were not harmed.
SpotboyE.com got in touch with one of the senior students, whose name has been withheld on request.
What exactly happened last night?
Some people came to the premises between 10:30 - 11pm and vandalised the installation that we had put outside the gate. The students were not around when this took place.
Did you all eventually find out who these people were? Did they belong to any political group?
We have no idea who did this.
Have you all filed a police complaint?
No, not yet. We hope that these people realise that such behaviour from their end raises our suspicion all the more. We don't want to react to any of this. Our concern is with the strike and we will continue with it.
